We offer Laser Engraving for our Linq Card Metal and Hyper Linq Card Metal. Engraving does not offer the same versatility of ink printing, so we must disclose the requirements and limitations.

Laser Engraving Requirements

Laser engraving uses a laser to etch the metal and reveal the silver metal underneath. It cannot produce shades of grey. Because of these limitations, we have some requirements for your design. Please read the below requirements.

File Type:

  • AI or SVG work best. This provides our team full resolution vector files.

  • PNG or PDF. This works but make sure it is at least 500 dpi for best engraving clarity.

  • NO jpeg allowed.

Design:

  • NO Shading - Engraving cannot produce shades of grey to mimick any shading.

  • NO Gradients - Engraving cannot produce shades of grey to mimick any gradients.

  • NO Overlapping elements - Any overlapping elements will blend together when converted to a single color. Any elements you wish to be engraved and seen, must not be overlapping any other design element.

  • NO low resolution files - Low resolution can cause fuzzy edges, or cause thinner parts of the design to not translate.

  • NO Portraits or Pictures - Pictures contain a lot of color data so you will not be able to accurately pick out the colors to keep and remove. There is shading and gradients in portraits or pictures as well, so this does not work.

  • YES Single Color Designs. The Design must be able to be converted to a single color and look the same.
